First came the hound, then the two children...

The Hound and the Toddler is a local travel blog based in Yorkshire covering family days out, family adventures, things to do in Yorkshire for families with dogs. 

'Chase' the Beagle was my inspiration for the blog. I struggled to find days out in Yorkshire suitable to take both my dog and children.  Chase often got left at home and I got tired of the usual walks and playgrounds. So, I decided to set up an online community on social media to discover like-minded people and find more days out and family adventures in and around Yorkshire. The response was phenomenal, And like the say, the rest is history.

I like to share my own experiences with reviews and photos, as well as finding the best days out and things to do for families in Sheffield and Yorkshire.  The blog posts give you a snapshot of recommendations or you can visit each town section above and browse at your leisure. These places have either been pre-approved by my community group on Facebook or visited by myself.
