BENTLEY COMMUNITY WOODLAND

Positioned in the heart of urban Doncaster there is a stunning contrast between the bustling town centre and the quiet calm of the woodland - almost as if you've been transported to the heart of the countryside. A variety of trails to follow depending on length. Ideal for feeding ducks.

BRODSWORTH COMMUNITY WOODLAND

This picturesque woodland, which spans 99-hectares, allows you to escape from the hustle and bustle of life. With its mixture of mature broadleaf woodland, large open meadows and a scenic wetland valley.

CAMPSALL COUNTRY PARK

Park Drive, DN6 9NU

Campsall Country Park is renowned for its rich and diverse woodlands and a variety of things to see and do for all ages. Including, toddler and junior play areas, beautiful scenery including meadows, ponds, and wildflower areas, woodland areas, picnic areas and playing fields.

HEXTHORPE PARK

Bramworth Road, DN4 0HY.

A great park with lots to see and do. 
Playgrounds, lots of sports and exercise facilities, cafe and picnic areas. Lots of beautiful scenery including woodlands and even a public aviary, where you can see a wide range of birds. A variety of nature walks throughout the park and excellent access to walks along the River Don meeting up with the Trans Pennine Trail or Sprotbrough Falls.

HIGHFIELDS COUNTRY PARK

Coppice Road, DN6 7JA

The perfect place to enjoy some outdoor time. With beuatiful scenery including woodlands to explore, playing fields and picnic areas. Nature walks through the park too and ducks to feed. Free parking.

MELTON WOOD COUNTRY PARK

Sheep Lane, Doncaster

The rolling countryside around Melton Wood is ideal for cycling, with several routes taking in bridle paths, country lanes and short stretches of main road.

SANDALL BEAT WOOD

Sandall Beat Road, DN2 6JP

Drive by the Racecourse and you'll never know this place existed. A small free car park then leads you into the woodland, which is great for exploring and ideal for dogs on/off the lead. The playground is in the centre, which is just epic. Ideal for smaller and older children, you wont be disappointed. Lots of picnic benches throughout the woods and trails to follow.

SANDALL PARK

Thorne Road, DN2 5DW.

A great little park with tarmac paths suitable for prams, scooters and bikes. Ducks to feed and a playground ideal for smaller and older children. Lots of open space for playing and walking the dog. Toilets and cafe on site.

THORNE COMMUNITY WOODLAND

Lock Hill, Thorne, Doncaster DN8 5EP

Dont forget your muddy boots or wellies, but this is a great community woodland to explore and good for the dog off the lead. Lots of trails.

WARREN HOUSE PARK

Green Lane, Askern

Situated in the heart of Askern and offering a playground, skatepark and teen shelter, a basketball area and grass sports pitches.

QUARRY PARK

 High Street, Dunsville

If you are looking for open space, playgrounds and trails, this is the perfect local park. Numerous walking routes and trails to follow and 1 suitable for prams and scooters.

Just off the A614 Blaxton,

If you fancy a dog friendly farm, this one if for you. With small animals to see, a maize maze, playground and cafe. (Dogs not allowed in the animal barn).

CONISBROUGH CASTLE

Castle Hill, Conisbrough, Doncaster DN12 3BU

If you fancy a bit of history for the kids, Conisbrough Castle is the perfect local trip. Explore the ruins and very dog friendly throughout (apart from inside the Keep). Entrance fees may apply.

CUSWORTH HALL & PARK

Back Lane, DN5 7TU

A hidden gem. A great little place to visit. Tarmac paths which are ideal for prams, scooters and bikes. A great hall set in beuatiful gardens, with a walk around the lake and planty of open space for picnics. Feed the ducks, follow a history or tree trail and play on the playground. Cafe and toilets on site too.

SUNNYBANK GARDEN CENTRE & ICE CREAM PARLOUR

A great outdoor playground and ice cream parlour, all dog friendly.
