A Large woodland area with parking, playground, playing fields and an outdoor gym Trail (static gym equipment such as monkey bars). This place has something for everyone, and dog friendly.
The playground is made up of the classic swings and slides. This is easily accessed adjacent to the car park off Leeds Bradford Road and is ideal for families wanting a quick burst of play before heading on a walk through the woods.
The woodland backs onto the Leeds/Liverpool Canal and there is a walk along the riverside and a few locks to observe, perfect for intriguing toddlers. Well-defined paths and some steep steps. Look out for the Maps found at various points and the woodlands are well sign-posted.
There are circular 1km and 2km walks to do, so take a picnic and go explore the great outdoors.
