⛵️ Carsington Water ⛵️

Who fancies a day trip? This reservoir is set just outside the Peak District and takes about an hour to get there, but so much to see and do so you can definitely make a day of it. Includes facilties and car parking, 3 trails to follow so suitable for all ages and a pushchair friendly Walk.

Lucy from our Facebook community group went last summer and shares a review below ⬇️⬇️

“We went to Carsington Water. It was about an hour away, carsington water parking was about £5 to park all day. It’s about 9 miles around the lake (other trails available) so we went on our bikes. It says dogs on leads but we only saw one dog on a lead as the sheep were all separated from the path by a fence. There’s a visitor centre with a lovely cafe Mainsail at Carsington Water and ice cream parlour. A large park for all ages of children. There’s a big grassed area for picnics/ball throwing if not too busy. Lots of wildlife to spot and large wood carving of animals etc to look at on the way around.”

Note, some restrictions may be in place due to Covid. Check before travelling. But Play areas, cafe and toilets are open.

Looks like so much fun and definitely on my to do list! ⛵️🐶🚲😍
