Low Bradfield, Free Day Out, Sheffield

Low Bradfield is the perfect escape from the city centre hustle and bustle but still reachable from Sheffield with good transport links, including buses and car parking.

On a winters Day it’s just as much fun as in summer, so you won’t be disappointed, just remember to wrap up warm!

Here are the top 5 reasons to visit:

  1. Go for a walk - Dam Flask reservoir is the perfect 5km walk and is buggy friendly. It has the perfect mix of woodland and paths to explore. Plus in the summer, little “beach” bits for stone throwing and picnic spots.

  2. Feed the ducks - Stop by the stream at Smithy bridge and feed the ducks. there are picnic benches aplenty and take your wellies for a little paddle too.

  3. Pub lunch - The Plough and The Old Horns Inn are two dog friendly pubs in Bradfield, both serving delicious food. The old Horns inn also has an outdoor platground.

  4. Ice Cream Farm - visit Our Cow Molly for the best in Yorkshire ice cream. They a also have an outdoor play area and have “open days” during the summer.

  5. Visit the playground - located next to or behind the bowling green. It has swings, a climbing frame, slide and a roundabout.

Note - please check all destination information before travelling due to Covid-19
