Foremark Reservoir

Immerse yourself in the rolling Derbyshire countryside, in the heart of the National Forest. Get active with plenty of waymarked trails to explore, wander through the woodlands at Carvers Rocks or find a quiet spot and enjoy a picnic. Keep an eye open for wildlife – over 200 species of birds have been spotted here.

There are 4 different trails to choose from depending on your ability:


Butterfly - the shortest route, level and ideal to stop by the playground


Woodland - a linear walk taking in Carver rocks for exploring and scenic views


Wren - perfect for woodland explorers and walking by the reservoir


Badger - the longest of the trails taking in all of the above, perfect for older ones and not buggy friendly.


Car park - charges apply and a cafe serving takeaway drinks. The playground is also open.

Dogs on a lead welcome!
