Ingbirchworth Reservoir Walk Dog friendly Sheffield

Set on the outskirts of Sheffield and Barnsley is this gorgeous, easy going trail, roughly 1.6 miles circular walk which is perfect for dogs and children.

There is off road parking available on Wellthorne Lane, S36 7GN. We parked at Yummy Yorkshire and walked down into the village, perfect for an after walk pit stop ice cream or refreshments!

It’s not a too strenuous route and literally follows the Ingbirchworth Reservoir, running next to the water’s edge and passing through small areas of woodland. The path is unsurfaced in places and can be muddy. Sturdy footwear is recommended.

Winter - can be very muddy, icy and snowy. It would be difficult with a buggy

Summer - I would suggest this could be buggy friendly when the ground is a bit softer.

Absolutely stunning scenery though and well worth a visit!

Note - please check all destination information prior to travelling due to Covid restrictions
