Have you discovered YEADON TARN yet? Its approx 1 hour north of Sheffield and not only is it a great park for children and dogs, its also a great place to spot planes taking off from Leeds Bradford Airport. Its is 9 miles North-West of Leeds city centre and is approximately 17 hectares in area.

At a glance, what is there to see and do?

  • Free parking - address - Cemetery Road, Yeadon LS19 7UR

  • 0.7 mile walk around the lake

  • Buggy / wheelchair friendly

  • Lots of benches and a few picnic benches/space to sit on the grass for a picnic.

  • Toilets (if closed, Morrisons is about 5 mins walk for customers).

  • Playground

  • Ice cream van near the playground

  • Ducks to feed

  • Aeroplane spotting

  • Water activity centre

  • Fishing

Where to eat?

Murgatroyds fish and chips for a treat, it is about 5 mins walk ( either take them back to the park or there are quite a few benches outside Murgatroyds for families/dogs)

There are also lots of other local places to eat including The White Swan is on the edge of the Tarn and dog friendly and also a short walk to Yeadon centre which has a few shops, Morrisons, cafes, other pubs (few dog friendly/benches outside).

Its the perfect day trip for the summer holidays!
